Scarce WW1 Era Guards Officer Training Unit Cap Badge.

The Guards officer training unit only existed from 1914 to 1918. To the centre of this bronze badge is King George V cypher and around the outside ‘1LG2LGRHGGGCGSGIGWG’ in script, this represented the 1st Life Guards, 2nd Life Guards, Royal Horse Guards, Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Irish Guards and Welsh Guards. These letters sit within white enamel. This badge is in excellent condition with a nice even tone.
