These two volumes entitled ‘the bond of sacrifice’ are a biographical record of all British officers who fell in the Great War, volume one covers August to December 1914 and vol 2 January to June 1915, between them there are best part of a thousand pages of text most if not all with photo’s of the officers, an incredible sad waste of human life.
