WW1 Era Large Trench Art Brass Shell Case Gong with Striker

A really well constructed and very heavy dinner gong fashioned from a WW1 era large brass shell case suspended from a solid bras arm attached to a metal plate and mounted on a wood base, it comes complete with a turned oak striker. The top of the shell case is very well marked with RL for the Royal Laboratories Woolwich, the broad arrow mark with 19 under, 01/03, F16, C.F 4 4 01and others, the shell case measures 12.25 inches long and the whole piece stands nearly 17.5 high, it comes in super condition for its age with mild signs of age and use.
