Vintage RAF Mk.6C Artificial Horizon Aircraft Instrument

This very heavy Artificial Horizon Aircraft instrument is marked with the broad arrow and was made by Ferranti Ltd of Moston Manchester. The unit is deemed ‘unserviceable’ it originated at RAF station Lossiemouth and attached to it is a service card which describes its fault as being ‘violent precession when fast erected’ and also described as ‘handle like eggs’. So a big piece of kit that would otherwise have been disposed of, it measures 8 inches long with a long lead and weighs like a brick!
