A rare George VI Royal Navy Volunteer Wireless Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, only around 200 hundred of these were awarded from 1939 to 1957; this is correctly named to 1014 B. Gibson. Tel. R. N. V. (W). R. also comes with named and addressed box of issue to Mr B Gibson 55 Mansfield Lane Norwich, Norfolk.
Benjamin Gibson was born in Norwich Norfolk on 25th January 1903. He was employed as a Mustard Seed Dresser at Colman’s Mustard Plant in Norwich. On the 1939 UK register he is already serving with the RNV(W)R in Unit 8 District 68. Living at the same address as box of issue.
A very interesting a scarce medal which comes in mint condition, never mounted or worn.
