WW1 6th Inniskilling Dragoons Cap Badge.

A superb quality bi-metal badge worn by the 6th Dragoons (Inniskilling). The regiment was amalgamated with the 5th Dragoons in 1922 but it seems both combined regiments continued to wear their original badges as no design was suitable for the combination of such old and historic cavalry regiments in their own right; until, 1935 when a new badge was designed and the Inniskilling’s lost their identity completely with the regiment now the 5th Dragoon guards and the badge being just the initials VDG.
This badge is in superb condition, a real beauty.
