Vintage French Foreign Legion badge 3rd Mounted Coy.

A beautiful quality brass and enamelled badge for the 3rd Mounted Saharan Company of the French Foreign Legion. The 3rd Coy was formed in 1949 in French Alaeria for dessert patrols mainly on Cammel back and the garrisoned at fort Leclerc near the Oasis of Sebha. The unit was dissolved in 1963 with its members transferring to other companies. This badge is in excellent original condition, it is copied but this one is original, made by Drago Paris. It measures 1.75 x 2.75 inches.
