Rare WW1 German Malta 1914-15 POW Medal.

A rare German medal awarded to German service men who were captured and entered in the Prisoner of war caps in Malta. Many German prisoners of war were taken to camps in Malta, those captured in Cameroon, German East Africa, Palestine and some of the SMS Emden's crew captured in the Indian Ocean ended up in Malta as well as Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman Turkish POWs and some German civilians were interned on the island. The obverse of the medal has the head of the Kaiser, and the obverse shows the bell tents used to house the prisoners. The medal is made from a base white metal with a silver wash and comes in very good condition.
