Boxed WW1 for Voluntary War Work in India Badge
Issued post WW1 for voluntary war work in India during the Great War, it was issued to civilians and non-combatants—both Indian and British—who contributed to the war effort. The badge is constructed from a white metal centre that depicts the national flower of India the Lotus and this is surrounded by a blackened brass. the badge is in near mint condition and it comes in its box of issue which is marked for ‘HM Mint Calcutta’, good clean condition with minor signs of use and it measures 1.25 long.
