WW2 No3 B677 Gap Measurer in Case.

An ingenious instrument used by the Royal Artillery and Royal Engineers to measure the distance between two points, such as the gap between two artillery emplacements or the distance between two banks of a river for bridge building. The device uses a pair of moving mirrors that are adjusted until the two points are both visible and the distance can then be read off a dial. It comes in its original canvas covered case with unused spare parts. The instrument could be used in or out of the case and comes in excellent condition and measures 26 inches long in the case. This is a very heavy instrument and will be shipped via courier priced at £10.95
