1895 pattern Dutch Mannlicher Rifle Bayonet.
A well-used 1895 pattern Duch bayonet for the 6.5 mm M1895 Mannlicher infantry rifle. It is marked ‘Hembrug’, this was the mark of Artillerie Inrichtingen, in Zaandam. And also marked with the crowned ‘L’ inspection mark, this is attributed to inspector Wiersma. Inspector Wiersma began work c. 1898 and continued into the First World War period. In overall good order showing wear and use, no scabbard. It measures 18.5 inches long.
