A large approximately 5 litre cooking pot, one supplied to a squad for around 10 to 12 men to cook their own food. Originally designed in the mid-19th century, it was typically made of tinned iron or zinc-coated metal, consisting of a primary pot, a smaller lid used as a frying pan.
This one has the makers mark on the bottom of C E Moulins and comes in very good condition. It measures 11 x 12 x 6 inches.
