R. Halls ‘sonnet on the sacrifice of young lives from Oxford’, below this a verse and explanation with a date of 1917, this comes in good order for its age with some mild corner damage. To go with this card is a hand written letter dated September 1918 from an Elsie Chapman of The woodlands Dairy Dean Road Scarborough, thanking someone for their letter and information about the death of her serving husband who appears to have been in ‘Gamrah’ which seems to be close to or in Saudi Arabia.
