Two WW1 Era Ephemera Items, Scroll and Memorial Service
These two items of WW1 era ephemera consists of a November 1918 memorial service booklet held at Southwark Cathedral for the men of the Metropolitan water board who lost their lives during the Great War and they are listed within, a scroll in a card tube dated December 1st 1914 listing the men in a roll of honour who are serving with His Majesty’s forces and who worked for Macmillan & Co Ltd of London (publishers) and this was sent to Private J. Lavender who served with the City of London Yeomanry (rough riders) there is a long list of officers and men who served from this company and you have to wonder just how many of them came home? Both items are in very good condition for their age.
