Victorian Cavalry / Horseman’s Folding Knife.
A superb Victorian multi-blade cavalryman’s or horseman’s pocketknife. It has a main blade, this is marked Joseph Rogers & Sons on the blade and ‘No 6 Norfolk St Sheffield’ on the ricasso. On the same side is a smaller blade, this is marked ‘Rogers Cutlers to Her Majesty’, a button hook, marked ‘Joseph Rogers’. On the other side of the knife is a hinged hoof pick and a corkscrew. It also has two little implements that are housed top and bottom of the knife, a pair of tweezers and a pricker. In lovely original condition, there is a fine hairline crack to the scales on one side, this is old and quite stable. It measures 4.25 inches long when closed and 7.25 inches long with main blade open.
