Belgian FN–FAL Type A Knife Bayonet.

The iconic cold war knife bayonet used from around 1953 to 1961, although some countries held on to it for longer. Used on the 7.62 mm NATO (Fabrique Nationale - Fusil Automatique Leger) Light Automatic Rifle or FN–FAL. This the Type A bayonet is unique in having flash concealing prongs integrated with the muzzle ring and guard. This one is an early example with wooden grip scales and the earlier scabbard. In very good used condition, no rust just signs of light use. It measures 13.5 inches long.
