A detailed solid cast metal model of the L118 towed field gun. It comes on a wooden base and the breech section moves and can be removed.
The L118 light gun is a 105 mm towed howitzer. It was originally designed and produced in the United Kingdom for the British Army in the 1970s. Designed for rapid-reaction forces, it provides mobile and precise artillery support and is used by the parachute and commando field artillery regiments of the British Army. In 1982, five batteries (30 guns) were deployed to the Falkland Islands during the Falklands War.
This model is in very good condition and measures 13.5 x 4.5 x 8 inches high.
