Rare WW2 Paratroopers Machete 1943

A very rare short machete made by martingale and dated 1943. Issued to British paratroops in small numbers for the Burma campaign. The short blade was deemed safer to jump into the Jungle with and issued for the Chindit operations of 1943. This is a very nice example a little light pitting to the blade in areas, but all marks are good and the scabbard is in excellent condition with correct matching dates and complete with both leg straps in good order. A very rare and hard to acquire piece of WW2 Para kit.
