French 1892 / 15 Sword Bayonet.

The French Model 1892 is a sword bayonet built for the Mannlicher-Berthier M1892 Artillery and Cavalry Carbines. This is an early example with later conversion. It has the first type crosspiece, with the narrow 15 mm. muzzle-ring and black vulcanized rubber grips. The hooked quillon has been removed; this I understand was done from 1915 for WW1 use.
The condition is OK, it is a little rough in places, and a small part of one grip is missing. but these are quite a scarce bayonet, this is a good gap filler and will probably clean up nicely.
It measures 20.75 inches long.
