WW1 Dated Gas Rattle.

A WW1 Trench Gas rattle used by trench sentries to alert the silent arrival of Poisonous gases like chlorine, phosgene, and mustard gas. This one looks in good working order, I haven’t tried it because it scares the hell out of the dog. It is stamped on the grip ‘W. B. Ld 1918’. It is in good order with obvious signs of age and use. It measures 11.25 inches long.
