WW1 Era German Prussian Pickelhaube.

An 1895 pattern German Pickelhaube helmet. It has a hard leather shell, leather adjustable liner with the correct 9 panels. Brass peek rim, brass one piece spike, this has a little damage towards the tip and brass spine with air vent. It has its original Prussian helmet plate which retains most of its original gilt finish. Leather strap and coloured ersatz type cockades. A typical example of a reissued helmet of the first world war. It comes in superb order, but obviously it is over 100 years old and has been used. It has wear and a little shrinkage but has been kept beautifully by its previous owner. If I had to be really picky, I would say the strap is a replacement, but with a lot of age.
