George VI Special Constabulary Medal and Truncheon East Suffolk.

George VI Special Constabulary Faithful Service medal correctly named to Harry G Read, WW2 Defence medal, original Special Constabulary Truncheon and original ephemera all relating to Harry G Read of the East Suffolk Special Constabulary Bungay Suffolk. Harry was born in Bungay 1909, the son of William Read a Builder Bricklayer also from Bungay. He followed the same trade as his father and rose to master builder, he married Olive in 1935 and joined the Specials in 1937. He served throughout the war and received his faithful service medal in 1945. He received two letters from the Chief Constable of East Suffolk Police, and his discharge certificate from the East Suffolk Special Constabulary, all three included along with census and marriage details.
All items in very good used condition.
