Crimean War Medal to Aubrey Killed at Sebastopol.
Victorian Crimea War medal officially impressed to ALFr AUBREY 23rd Regt. 4697 Private Alfred Aubrey served with the 23rd regiment, Royal Welsh Fusiliers in the Crimea from late 1854. His regiment was heavily involved in the siege of Sebastopol, and he was serving through the devastating winter of 1854-55 when soldiers suffered appalling hardships. Alfred was Killed while in the trenches before Sebastopol and died of wounds on the 29th of August 1855. This medal is in good condition with two light rim knocks and one which is heavier. Sebastopol clasp correctly attached and working swivel suspender. His medal comes with copies of his Medal rolls.
