WW2 German Volkssturm Armband.

A WW2 era screen printed Deutscher Volkssturm Wehrmacht armband. It has good bright colours and not faded to much, however the stitching has worn and come adrift on the main seam joining the armband together.
The Deutscher Volkssturm was a national militia established by Nazi Germany during the final months of World War II, officially founded on the 18th October 1944. It was not formally part of the regular Wehrmacht armed forces and mostly consisted of elderly men, teenage boys (Hitler Youth) and men previously deemed unfit for regular military service.
