WW1 Era Women’s War Volunteer Munitions Worker Mop Cap

This WW1 era munitions worker mop cap has the name ‘Rusty Beresford’ written in ink on the top, on the inside of the brim it has ‘East Camp M A Beresford’ as this is a munition workers mop cap I think the East Camp relates to RAF Altrincham which started as an internment camp in 1916 and was converted to a munitions site with various areas being divided up including an East Camp. It carries a brass badge for the Women’s Volunteers which was made by Gaunt and has the recipients number of 37536 on the back. Signs of wear and use and a scald patch on the top otherwise in good order for its age.
