1933-9 Air League Enamel Badge.

The Air League badge made for the 1933 - 1939 Air League Day. The Air League or Empire Air Day on 20th May 1939, promised a dazzling aerial spectacle and it drew over one million people across Britain to 78 civil and military aerodromes. The show celebrated the power, modernity, martial values and claims of aerial supremacy to domestic and foreign audiences.
