Late Victorian Scottish Fire Officers Helmet.

A solid black leather helmet with brass rim and fitting made by Jas Hendry of Glasgow. Although Jason Hendry was a manufacturer who made fire and mining helmets for all over the world, this one is clearly for Scottish use. It is in lovely condition and has had a little restoration over the years. Just one area of damage to the brass rim near the front peek and I’m sure it would have had an adjustable liner which is missing. a very good-looking piece which displays beautifully.
