A Scarce Victorian, pre 1881 97th regiment of Foot other ranks Glengarry badge, 1874 to 1881 when it amalgamated with the 50th (The Queen's Own) Regiment of Foot to form The Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment). Persian 98/29 Mauser Bayonet.

A very nice example of this bayonet the Persian Mauser Long Bayonet with short pommel slot, for use on the 8mm 98/29 Mauser rifles.
This one is marked on the top of the pommel with the Pahlavi crest with Arabic writing under. The condition is excellent. A nice clean example but no scabbard, measuring 21 inches long.
