3rd Pattern Fairbairn Sykes Commando Knife by W Rodgers.
‘William Rogers Sheffield England’. I have read so accounts of this knife, some say its late WW2 others that it was produced for out commandos during the Falklands war, there doesn’t seem to be a definitive date for this type of knife. It is superb quality with a blackened finish and blued blade. It also has the No 7 stamped on the grip just above the guard, which corresponds with Rodgers production. It is in excellent condition and looks hardly used and comes in its original scabbard, which is also in superb order; the elastic retainer at the top is just a little baggy.
A very fine original example, measuring 13.5 inches long in scabbard.
