1856 Pattern Pioneer Sawback Short Sword by Wilkinson.
A very fine example of the 1856 pattern Pioneers sword with saw back. It has a brass hilt and grip with an ‘ear shape’ guard with a scrolled quillon. It has a good steel blade with a sharp saw back used for clearing scrub, trees etc and at the ricasso it is marked ‘Wilkinson London’ with the date 5/94. 1845 Pattern Naval Cutlass by Reeves.
This 1845 naval cutlass has the typical flat blade of 28.5inches. It features an all-iron hilt with a ribbed grip. to around 26 inches. The guard still has a fair amount of its original blackened Jappaned finish and the blade is marked Reeves with other proof marks.

I have a few of these, old new stock. Made by Okapi South Africa, made to be affordable for everyday use on the farm or in the bush. It is a slip-joint rachet folding knife with a hard wood grip decorated with inlayed metal and a good steel blade with maker’s mark. It is in perfect order with just storage wear.
