A wonderful and scarce WW2 defence and war medal pair, Miniatures, medal ribbon bar, framed officer discharge certificate and portrait photograph all relating to Junior Commander (Captain) Helen Edwards. Scarce Davidson’s 1798 Nile Medal awarded to Petty Officers.
A rare medal which was a privately-issued in commemoration of the British victory at the Battle of the Nile, in 1798.
The medal was commissioned by Alexander Davison, whom Admiral Nelson had appointed the sole prize agent for the ships captured at the Battle of the Nile, he commissioned the medal from his profits.

Superb WW1 Trio to Nurse Dodd, Served Egypt.
A wonderful WW1 1915 star trio all awarded to Nurse Dora Dodd of the Voluntary Aid Detachment.
Dora Dodd served with the Red Cross VAD in Egypt from 11th September 1915, Egypt was hard place for voluntary nurses to start during the war, most likely she was posted to the 15th general hospital in Alexandria, this was the largest hospital and more likely to take probationary nurses.... read more
