Vintage Large Whitby Folding Knife.

An early Whitby large folding knife with horn scales and a good steel blade marked ‘Whitby Foreign Stainless’. When the Whitby Knife co was first founded by Major Aubrey Whitby, he was importing blades from Italy. So, this is one of his earliest knifes.
It is in very good used condition, still with very sharp blade. It measures 11.5 inches when open and 6.5 when closed.

A very nice Sheffield type Bowie knife, with stag horn scales, a steel Guard and a very good steel blade, which is unmarked. It is obvious that the blade has been well used sharpened and polished over the years, so the makers mark was probably polished off. It is in very good order and comes with a well-fitting leather sheath. It measures 10.5 inches long.
