An interesting and scarce WW1 bronze memorial plaque named to Private Arthur Peak (unique name) of the 11th (Cambridge Battalion) Suffolk Regiment, who was killed in action during the savage fighting of the German Spring offensive of 1918.

Manufactured by Henry Hughes & Sons and used on aircraft from 1940 to 1942 and used by the navigator for obtaining the altitude of the sun or other celestial body. Persian 98/29 Mauser Bayonet.
A very nice example of this bayonet the Persian Mauser Long Bayonet with short pommel slot, for use on the 8mm 98/29 Mauser rifles.
This one is marked on the top of the pommel with the Pahlavi crest with Arabic writing under. The condition is excellent. A nice clean example but no scabbard, measuring 21 inches long.
