1887 Mk III Enfield Bayonet by Wilkinson.

1887 Mk III Enfield Bayonet by Wilkinson.

A scarce bayonet by Wilkinson, issued with the Martini Henry MkIV Rifle. Wilkinson only produced this bayonet during 1887 & 1888 before the contract had been cancelled in favour of the 1888 pattern bayonet for the new Lee rifle. The mark III differs from the Mark II in having an un-fullered blade and being slightly heavier. This one has been later issued to an Indian regiment as it has been eng...  read more

WW1 Era Glamorgan Yeomanry Cap Badge.

WW1 Era Glamorgan Yeomanry Cap Badge.

The bi-metal prince of Wales plumes with centre scroll is blank. They made up three battalions of mounted infantry during the war and interestingly this one was found near me in Beccles, I believe the 2nd battalion was stationed here for training at a large estate house nearby. This badge is in very good condition but toned.

1821 Pattern Light Cavalry Troopers / Artillery Officers Sword.

1821 Pattern Light Cavalry Troopers / Artillery Officers Sword.

A nice old untouched sword, very minty and covered with years of patination. I am calling this a Light Cavalry troopers’ sword because there is no evidence of etching on the blade, or makers mark, but it could have been an Artillery officer’s or NCO’s sword without the finery. The only distinguishing mark it has is the proof button for Charles Reeves of London. It has no scabbard, but the hilt ...  read more
