WW1 German Veterans Pin 23rd Infantry Regiment.

A scarce little early veteran’s pin, an enamelled shoulder board of the 23rd (2nd Upper Silesian) Infantry regiment. They came from the small towns of the Upper Sorbian region on the Czech Polish border. During the first world war they formed part of the VI army corps and saw extensive action on the western front with the 4th Army. This pin is in excellent condition with gilt back.
