LS&GC & WW1 Pair to Savage Royal Field Artillery.
British War medal, WW1 Victory medal correctly named to 46993 Gunner William Savage Royal Artillery; and the Army Long Service & Good Conduct medal correctly named to 1043196 Gunner William Savage Royal Artillery. Medal type (A) with swivel suspender.
This very nice trio of medals comes on a modern court mounting with copies of his medal index card and medal rolls. The Mic shows that he was entitled to the 1914/15 star, however I cannot find he was ever issued this medal.
He served overseas as a Gunner in the Royal Field Artillery from the 29th November 1915 in the Balkans theatre. It looks like he was not discharged until 1930 which is probably why his service or pension records are not available to view online as it falls out of the 1914 – 1920 parameters. Still a good group for future research.
All three medals are in excellent condition and comes in a faux leather wallet.
