Late 19th century Black Forest Carved Nut & Leaf Inkwell.
A nicely carved wooden inkwell in the form of a nut with a double leaf stand. It has also been engraved on the top of the leaf ‘Hornberg’, this is a town in the Ortenaukreis, in western Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated in the Black Forest, 35 km southeast of Offenburg, so probably a tourist piece in its day. It is in perfect order and it still retains its original glass ink fountain. read more
