WW1 Era Cased Flying or Driving Goggles – Super Condition

This pair of vintage flying or driving goggles date from the WW1 era into the 1920’s, they come in their original leather container which has preserved them so well I don’t think you will find better and they look like they have been barely used, the case is marked ‘Chavannaz optician Bordeaux’ so French in origin. A nice example of the bi-metal badge worn up until the 1950’s when a smaller badge was introduced for wear on the beret. This is a nice old badge from WW1 – 1920’s marked on the slider J R Guant Birmingham. In very good condition and nicely toned.
